The Young Physicians’ section of the Virginia AAP is dedicated to young pediatricians if they are younger than 40 years or in their first 5 years of practice. We are delighted to welcome you to our Chapter’s website and we look forward to serving as an instrumental resource for newly established pediatricians in the State of Virginia. Transitioning from clinical training to practice presents both personal and professional adjustments, challenges, and adaptations for young pediatricians. In light of these expected transitional milestones, the primary goal of the VA-AAP Young Physicians’ section is to provide a reliable and accessible platform for sharing practical and relevant information as well as a venue for networking, career support/growth, and advocacy efforts.
The young physician member and the Virginia AAP is in essence, a dynamic partnership that welcomes the ideas and ingenious foresight of its newly established members, while also addressing their unique needs and promoting Chapter initiatives that directly impact them. We are pleased to have you join us as a young physician member of the Virginia AAP in serving a pivotal role in addressing and improving the health, well-being and future of Virginia’s most valuable asset – its children and adolescents.
